26 Days Out
Hi all, hope you’re enjoying your Saturday!
Mind if we talk about the fact that we’re only twenty-six days away? That’s right, the Kindle edition of Beyond the Storm releases on August 26th. Only twenty-six days until Grace’s story, one I’ve carried for years, is finally complete and ready to land in your hands.
I keep telling myself I’m calm about this, but I’m not really calm about this. This book asked Grace more than the first two, and honestly, it asked a lot more of me. Finishing the final chapter of a series feels strange, like saying goodbye forever to an old friend. Typing “the end” left me sitting there wondering what will happen to my characters without me. They’ll be fine. I was the one who needed a moment.
Preorders open August 12th. The audiobook comes out on December 22nd, with preorders starting mid-November. Paperbacks and hardcovers will come out in spring 2027.

Before we go, I have a touch of housekeeping. I wanted to give a heads-up that next week, I’ll begin posting the weekly newsletters on Fridays, then popping in with a Substack Note on Mondays and Thursdays with little behind-the-scenes glimpses and other bits of news. On Wednesdays, I’ll open a Chat in the afternoon with one question to get a conversation going that I genuinely want your answers to. Think of the letter as our long visit and the rest as waving at each other across the fence during the week.
To take part in Chats, you’ll use the Substack app and follow me to be alerted when they go live. You may be thinking, ugh, another social media app, but as long-timers will remember, the main reason I moved our group over to Substack was to build a community where we would interact directly with each other. It’s taken a few years to get it rolling, but I’m hoping it will become a place where you feel at home and want to take a more active part at our table.
