Happy day 3 of 2025! I hope this note finds you happily compiling your TBR pile for the new year. In the meantime, I wish you many blissful hours curled up in your favorite reading nook, sipping something cozy, and getting lost in a great book.
I have some thrilling news to share—I’ve officially finished Emerald Isle Escape, the first book in my new Kiera Cavanaugh’s Wanderlust Woes series! 🎉 The draft took two years of writing, a few spirited debates with my characters (they can be so uncooperative at times,) and a massive revision, but it’s done! I hit “send” on the manuscript to my editor about ten days ago, and the feeling is nothing short of euphoric!
I can’t wait for you to meet Kiera Cavanaugh, the spirited travel writer at the heart of the series, and Liam Quinn, her handsome photographer with a hidden past, who often drives Kiera to distraction. The adventures these two will take you on are… well, let’s just say you’ll need your passport and a love for romance and intrigue.
Not wanting to lose more time, I’ve already rolled up my sleeves and dived headfirst into the second book, which takes Kiera to Italy, and, as always, trouble seems to find her wherever she goes. Growing out of my love of travel, plans to write this series have been on my docket for years, and despite the occasional headaches, it’s been worth the wait. Creating these first stories continually reminds me of why I love writing.
Beyond the books, I’ve been hard at work behind the scenes revamping my writing business. With the new series comes fresh opportunities, and I’m exploring exciting ways to make our little community even more special. Think exclusive sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes updates, and upcoming book clubs where you’ll help choose the stories we’ll delve into. Stay tuned!
Before I go, I want to take a moment to thank you for being the most supportive, passionate readers an author could hope for. Every comment, email, and message you send my way lights up my day and reminds me why I do what I do. You’re the reason these stories exist, and I’m forever grateful for your encouragement.
Here’s to new adventures, both on the page and IRL! Please let me know in the comments what’s on your reading list this week. Or maybe you have a dream travel destination Kiera should explore in the future? I’d love to hear from you!
Until next time, keep dreaming big and reading even bigger.
Have a great one, and as always, happy reading!
